“He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.” — Psalm 23:2–3

You are home now. The ocean is hundreds of miles away. The sand is out of your shoes. The salt has washed out of your hair. The alarm went off at 6 AM and the sound was not waves.

And yet.

There is a moment (maybe in the shower, maybe in the car, maybe at your desk when the noise gets loud enough) where you close your eyes and you are back. Waist-deep. Sunrise. Eyes closed. Waves on your chest. That thirty seconds of silence in the Pacific that felt like it lasted an hour.

You remember what still waters feel like. Not the absence of waves; the ocean was moving the whole time. Still waters are not a place. They are a posture. A willingness to stop fighting the current and let it carry you.

David did not write Psalm 23 from a spa. Instead, he wrote it from the field: dust, danger, sheep that would not cooperate, enemies that would not leave. The still waters he described were not calm circumstances. They were an internal reality that existed independent of the chaos around him.

That is what the Surrender Immersion teaches. The ocean did not stop moving when you closed your eyes on Day 1. The waves kept coming. The current kept pulling. But something inside you went still, and in that stillness, God spoke.

The question is not whether you can find still waters back home. The question is whether you remember what they feel like in your body, and whether you are willing to close your eyes in the middle of your Tuesday and let God lead you there again.

He leads. You follow. The waters are still.

Even here. Even now. And even without the ocean.
